Losartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). Mainly used to treat high blood pressure. It is also used for diabetic kidney disease, heart failure, left ventricular enlargement, mild to moderate hypertension and in diabetic nephropathy in type 2 diabetes mellitus.
